Price War Brews Between Amazon and Wal-Mart

November 24, 2009 1 comment

Ali had Frazier. Coke has Pepsi. The Yankees have the Red Sox. Now Wal-Mart and Amazon. With the economy the way it is everyone is looking for the cheapest website and the cheapest product for online shopping. With both of these sites people are finding the lowest prices. Prices on different items are falling and they are both copying eachother.

If a price on a toaster goes down on Wal-Marts site then later on that day the price will go down for Amazon. By watching what eachother is doing they both will have the same chance of getting the sale. Do you think they are taking things to far? Or is all this stuff worth it for that extra money?

And the Winner: ‘No Problem’

No Problem. This is the most hated phrase. It implies not only that you have a problem, but it doesn’t remind the person that you are thankful. “Phrases and announcements that make your heart sink and make you want to commit mayhem.” Some of the ones I liked was, “Are you still working on that” from a waiter or, “I don’t mean to be rude, but.” Some comments that people make sometimes can really get under my skin.

The fact that you can spray a tan on you and it looks like you have muscles too doesn’t sound to bad. It it just like photo shop but in real life. If only it was permanent. This is how tv shows are doing. The main show is on Dancing with the stars. This technique is used on all contestants.

The spray tan is a big phenomenon that is going on across the country as an alternate to the regular tanning bed. What do you think? Should people do the fake tan, a real tan, or a spray tan?

Bringing the Buzz Back to the Café

November 24, 2009 Leave a comment

The coffee house has changed from the past. In the past the coffee house was a place where people hung out and went to talk. Now people go there and type on computers and blog. Things have changed some say for the bad some say for the good. People enjoy going and relaxing at a coffee shop with their computer to type. Other people enjoy going to talk with friends. Now people feel uncomforatable to go their with a friend because they think they might disturb the peace.

There are coffee houses all over the place each one different. Perhaps the economy will start new conversations and start some talking back in the coffee shops.

Quietly, the President Finds That Golf Is No Slam Dunk

November 24, 2009 Leave a comment

If there was one person I could play a round of golf with, it would be the president. President Obama is not such a good golfer. I hear he is a great basketball player though. When he was on his campaign trail he played basketball at a few of his stops. I thought that was pretty cool to see the President playing basketball and also running for president. Golf is a sport many presidents have gotten into.

According to his secret service, his score is a matter of national security. Obama hits the ball to the left. I could definately give him some tips if he ever wanted to play a round at coastal with me.
