Christmas “Credit” Card Hault

With the rise of the economic slowdown many financial analysts are predicting most people will not be using the large amount of credit as usual to pay for Christmas this year.  The Article says that because of hiked fees and interest rates and the instability of the job market consumers are leading to more smart spending.   In fact, some help sites are suggesting not using even a weeks worth of pay on Christmas and instead use more innovative gifts instead of pricey electronics to celebrate the Christmas season.

I believe that we all should be smart about spending this Christmas.  Perhaps in the current economic client we should take a utilitarian view of spending think of the best way to spend one dollar.  I would say instead of spending a lot of money on personal gifts, send half that amount on a charitable contribution that help someone in need out much more than personal gifts.
