This article raises the old controversy concerned women’s right for abortion. The new health care bill proposed by president evoked that question again. The problem is that this bill contains an amendment that bans “the use of federal subsidies for insurance plans that cover abortion.” Such situation resulted in negative reaction of women of older generation who had struggled to get the right for abortion. One of those women is law maker who say that if this health law will be accepted with its amendment about abortion, this bill will be carried to the court. So the question now is whether the right of women for using their body the way they want should be subsidized by the government or it should be entirely covered by the woman when the decision is made? Does it mean that abortion will never be fully acceptable by the law, and women’s right for it always will be limited? How do you think?
