Drug courts successful for few who get it

This article talks about a defense lawyer who become addicted to meth. She was charged with twenty four bulgeries and cooking meth in her apartment. Her lawyer was able to convince the court to give her treatment at a drug facility instead of jail time. This was a success she is clean and caring for her two year old daughter. I feel that more people should receive chances like she did because drug addiction can make a person do crazy things and instead of making them spend years in jail with no help we should send them to receive help and try to turn that persons life around.
