New York State Senate Votes Down Gay Marriage Bill

This article talks about the bill of accepting opposite sex marriage that has been rejected by the senate in New York. The opponents of the bill called it as “a victory for the basic building block of our society.” The reason for rejecting was explanation that it will be uneasy for public to accept the new state definition of marriage in such hard economic times. It seems that there is never time for a solving an issue like this. I think that all people deserve to have own personal lives in the way they want it and they shouldn’t be discriminated for it. Of course, the legalizing of gay marriage will affect our society, but I think it won’t bring such a harm that many opponents are talking about. What do you think?
